About
The complexity of life and the hardships that some people have to endure has always fascinated me, and having experienced many personal losses and life changing events myself, my passion has grown, and I would like the opportunity to “make a difference” and support those when it is most needed.
Services
I have counselled clients from a wide range of ages, ethnicity and cultures. In particular I have experience of counselling clients through issues such as: depression, anxiety and panic (disorder), self-esteem, stress, bereavement, eating disorders, negative thoughts, childhood trauma, anger management, domestic abuse, abuse, self-harm, relationship issues, phobias, loss and change, PTSD/trauma, sexual orientation, suicidal thoughts and health issues.
Anxiety & Depression
Anxiety includes some less common conditions. These include phobias and panic disorders. But the most common is generalised anxiety disorder (GAD)
Bereavement
If you have experienced the death of someone who was important to you, you might be finding it difficult to adjust to the changes happening in your life.
Domestic Violence
Also called “domestic violence” or “intimate partner violence”, can be defined as a pattern of behaviour in any relationship that is used to gain or maintain power and control.
Cancer Treatment
Many of us are touched by cancer at some time in our lives, whether it is our own diagnosis or know of someone who has been. Cancer can bring difficult and painful feelings.
Relationships
Relationships are a key part of our lives. They bring happiness and support, but that doesn’t mean they’re easy. They require good social skills and a lot of work to stay strong.
Children
It is important for parent(s) to understand their child’s anxiety and what level of anxiety they are experiencing to then gauge the best way that you can help them.
Stress
Stress is something everyone feels at times, and there are all kinds of stressful situations that can be a part of daily life. Low-level stress can even be helpful or motivational.
A.C.T Therapy
The goal of ACT is to create a rich and meaningful life, while accepting the pain that inevitably goes with it. “ACT” is a good abbreviation, because this therapy is about taking action.
